Garden Guardians Summer Camp is a five-day camp with supervised activities for children entering 1st through 6th grade, set in our urban garden at the Albuquerque Garden Center. Each summer we provide a unique summer camp experience, blending environmental education along with traditional camp fun. Working together, children learn to become guardians of the earth through practical gardening experiences, nature walks, games, arts/crafts, and guest speakers. Our camp goal is to help children develop a life-long love of gardening, a respect for the environment, a passion for giving back to the world, and above all, to have FUN!

Our 2025 camp theme is “The Web of Life” with a focus on our desert environment here in New Mexico.  Our campers will explore the fascinating connections among plants, insects, and animals, discovering how every living thing plays a vital role in the intricate web of life.

Please note: Our primary goal is to ensure a fantastic camp experience for all campers. Please let us know in the comments section of the registration form if your child has any special needs, and one of our camp co-organizers will reach out to discuss how we can best accommodate those needs.  In the rare instance that a camper's behavior is significantly disruptive to other campers and camp staff, we reserve the right to discontinue their participation, with a full refund of the registration fee.
